Texture Dance Company is a contemporary dance company based in Bath. We enjoy using physical movement, art, music and text to enhance physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. We are committed to running dance and movement workshops based on text, using it as building blocks to create movement that inspires and lifts the human spirit. We run workshops for different ages and abilities. We use the facilities at St Bart's Church, serving the church, the local community and further afield. We often use biblical text and engage with issues that connect with the fabric of everyday life.

We are also committed to serving the local community and create work that we share in different platforms. We enjoy collaborating with different art forms and in community projects.
Our Team
We are a small growing company with 3 core members and a team of community members who take part in workshops and projects. We also collaborate with different artists who share our common vision. They include actors, writers, set designers, musicians, graphic designers, photographers and illustrators. We love how our work continues to evolve and engage with different art forms. We are also supported and guided by an Advisory Group comprised of Rev Ian Lewis, Rev Roger Salisbury and Assistant Minister Charlie Ward based at St Bart's Church.

Meet The Core Team
Shleah
Teacher, Choreographer
Shleah studied contemporary dance at Dance Strides Barbados. She is wife of Aaron and mommy of one. She is also an SEN teacher and in enjoys travel, playing the piano and CrossFit.
Su Ann
Artistic Director
Su Ann trained as an apprentice with Springs Dance Company, studied Theology at Oak Hill College, and now works as a doctor in the NHS. She is married to Charlie and has 2 young children. When not dancing, she enjoys good food, music and going to the cinema.
Jenny
Administrator
Jenny enjoyed ballet as a child but hasn’t danced for decades! She is married to Martin and they have 2 adult children. She loves Jesus and came to know him through the wonderful family of St Bart’s church.
