Flame and Valley (at Christian Dance Fellowship of Britain, Taunton)

'Flame and Valley' is our first dance and movement workshop after a long hiatus since the Covid-19 pandemic began. We hope this workshop will provide a time and space to process and reflect on these challenging times. It is also for anyone who would like to explore the issues of faith and suffering.

Our artistic director, who also works as a doctor with the NHS, will be sharing from her own personal experience looking at biblical texts from Daniel 3 and Psalm 23. We will take a journey with these texts and begin to discover courage in vulnerabilty, faith unyielding, love unfailing, hope everlasting.... we look forward to a genuine time of nurturing and strengthening.  We will be using  a combination of movement in our warm up, taught movement,  guided improvisation, discussion and prayer.

Participants will work according to their own pace and ability. You will not be asked to speak about anything personal or pray unless you wish to do so. No previous experience is required. Please wear clothing that will enable you to move freely. We will be moving with bare feet so no special footwear is required.
