About The Event
HomeLand is a dance and movement workshop based on the book of 1 Peter, a letter written by the apostle Peter to believers who he describes as 'exiles', 'foreigners' and 'scattered' among the nations. He urges them to think about what they see as home, hope and security. We will follow their journey and think about what this means for us today.
We start with a study of key texts and explore their themes and relevance today, using these as building blocks for our movement. This is followed by a warm up, taught movement, guided improvisation, discussion and prayer. This gives us time to pause, reflect and apply the truths of God's Word in a unique and inspiring process.
Participants will work according to their own pace and ability. No previous experience is required. Please wear clothing that will enable you to move freely. We will be moving with bare feet so no special footwear is required.
