THREADS

THREADS is a dance and movement workshop tracing the threads of God’s design in the life of David, as depicted in the historical books of 1 & 2 Samuel in the Bible. David was a lowly shepherd boy, who defeated Goliath and became King of Israel around 1000 BC. We trace God’s hand in David’s life, exploring how this same God is also at work in ours and see how this fits within the tapestry of God's story.

We start with a study of key texts, using these as building blocks for our movement. This is followed by a warm up, taught movement, guided improvisation, discussion and prayer. This gives us time to pause, reflect and apply the truths of God's Word in a unique and inspiring process.

Participants will work according to their own pace and ability. No previous experience is required. Please wear clothing that will enable you to move freely. We will be moving with bare feet so no special footwear is required.
