transition...

transition... is a movement workshop about living in times of transition. Life can be full of change— on a global, national, local and personal level. We hope to provide a space where we can pause in the midst of all the activity and consider how we might respond in these times. We will explore the depth of the human heart, the strength of the human spirit and the resilience that comes from hope. We engage with these themes as they emerge within the latter part of the biblical book of Isaiah, chapters 56-66, in a time when Israel was called to live and wait for renewal and restoration.

Participants will work according to their own pace and ability. We use the texts for movement in our warm up, taught movement, and guided improvisation. You will not be asked to speak about anything personal or pray unless you wish to do so. No previous experience is required. Please wear clothing that will enable you to move freely. We will be moving with bare feet so no special footwear is required.
